Abstract

1988년 1월부터 1995년 12월까지 순, 구개열을 주소로 전북대학교 치과병원에 내원한 환
자 40명(9.4±2.8세)과 안모의 형태가 Anlge분류법 Class Ⅰ에 해당되고 가계에 병력이 없는
정상 소아 40명 을 대상으로 측두규격 방사선사진을 촬영하고 측두규격방사선사진상에서 두
개안면 형태를 비교 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다.
1. 두개기저부(cranial base)에서는 대조군에 비하여 실험군에서 후두개기저의 근원심경
(S-Ba)과 전체 두개기저의 근원심경(N-Ba)이 더 짧았다(P<0.05).
2. 상안면부(upper face)에서는 대조군에 비하여 실험군에서 전상안면의 고경(N-ANS)와
상악 후연의 고경(Ptm'-SNL)이 더 짧았다(P<0.05).
3. 하안면부(lower face)에서는 대조군에 비하여 실험군에서 하악골의 근원심경(Pog-Ar)
과 하악 골체의 근원심경(Pog-Go)이 짧아 하악이 후퇴되는 경향을 보였다(P<0.05).
4. 상, 하악의 관계는 대조군에 비하여 실험군에서 전안면의 고경(N-Me)과 후안면의 고
경(S-Go)이 짧았다(P<0.05).

The purpose of this study was to determine whether any difference existed in
craniofacial morphology between cleft children and normal subjects.
Thirty three measurements of the various regions of cranium and face were obtained
from lateral cephalometric radiograms in 40 cleft children(27 males, 13 females) and 40
normal subjects(23 males, 17 females) in our dental hospital from Jan. 1988 to Dec. 1995.
The measurements were compared with those in control subjects who had no history
of craniofacial abnormalities.
The obtained results were as follows:
1. In the cranium, the cleft children had significantly shorter posterior cranial base
length(5-l3a) and total antero-posterior cranial base length(N-Ba) (P<0.05).
2. In the upper face, the cleft children had significantly shorter upper anterior facial
height(N-ANS) and upper posterior facial height(Ptm'-SNL) (P<0.05)
3. In The tower face, the cleft children had significantly shorter antero-posterior
mandibular length(log-Ar) and antero-posterior mandibular body length(Pog-Go)
(P<0.05).
4. In the facial profile, the cleft children had significantly shorter total facial
height(N-Me) and posterior facial height(5-Go) (P<0.05).
